The preventive measures and restrictions that have been put in place are necessary steps to slow the spread of the virus that causes Covid-19 and protect the health of all of our communities.  Of course, they also have secondary effects on economic activity, and Easton Baking is no exception.

 

We consider ourselves fortunate to be able to continue business at all in the current environment, where so may other firms, large and small, have been forced to close or suspend their operations completely.   We have, however, felt the consequences of  the health and safety efforts since our first announcement on St Patrick's day.  We have seen phone orders and traffic through the store drop significantly in the past 2-3 weeks to levels that will not support our operations, especially early in the week.  For this reason, we've reluctantly decided to close the bakery on Tuesdays until the current crisis has abated and we return to more familiar patterns of activity.

We would like to warmly thank all of our customers for continuing to patronize Easton Baking, and we look forward to resuming a 6-day schedule as soon as we are able.
